Youtube Not Working

YouTube is the world's largest online video platform, with more than 2.3 billion active users per month. Google does a great job of getting YouTube up and running, but sometimes the service doesn't work. Not working YouTube is a problem for many of us, so what if you find yourself in a situation like this? Here are some things you can try on your Android and Windows device.

Find out if YouTube is down

Close and reopen the application.

Check available updates

Reboot the device

Check your internet connection

Clear the cache

Synchronize date and time

If YouTube isn't working, there is nothing you can do but wait.

Close and reopen the app or website

Simply closing and reopening the YouTube app often resolves local issues or issues. If you are using a computer, you can close the tab or browser and try accessing YouTube again.

If you are using mobile data, you may want to know if your data connection is activated:

Open the Settings app.

Go to Network and Internet.

Select Mobile network.

Turn on mobile data.

If you are outside your home country or network, also enable roaming (this may incur additional charges).

Clear application cache and data

Another solution to this list is to clear YouTube cache and data. The first clears the temporary data and the second clears all the program data, including various settings. This can help because sometimes data and settings are corrupted or crashes confuse everything. After deleting everything, the app or browser resets and you can start cleaning.

Clear the Android cache:

Open the Settings app.

Go to "Applications and notifications".

In the See all apps section, find the YouTube app.

Touch Storage & Cache.

Click Clear cache.

You can also select Clear storage to start cleaning.

Clear the cache in Chrome for Windows:

Open Chrome on a Windows computer.

Click on the 3-dot menu button in the upper right corner.

Go to settings.

In the left column, select Privacy and security.

Select Clear browsing data.

Check the boxes to select what you want to remove. I like to clear everything if there are serious problems.

In the time range, select All the time.

Click Clear data.

Synchronize date and time

While this may sound strange, the date and time settings may be the reason YouTube is not working. If you configure them incorrectly, Google's servers may have trouble syncing with them.

Synchronize date and time with Android:

Open the Settings app.

Touch System.

Go to Date and time.

Turn on Use network time.

Check Use network provided time zone.

To synchronize the date and time with Windows:

Open the Settings app.

Go to Time and Language.

Select Date and time in the left column.

Activate Set time automatically.

Check Set time zone automatically.

Is the network blocking YouTube?

Standard Photo Ethernet vs Wi-Fi 3

Sometimes network restrictions apply to YouTube and other services. This is a common thing to keep in mind when using the Internet from schools, libraries, or other places where administrators don't want to be distracted. It can also be the result of caring parents restricting their children's activities on YouTube.

How to update GPU drivers in Windows:

In the Windows search bar, type Device Manager and open the program.

Expand the section labeled Display Adapters.

Right click on your GPU.

Select Update Driver.

Click Search for drivers automatically.

Let the computer do its work and follow the instructions.

Youtube not working after trying all these fixes ? Maybe it's time to get in touch with YouTube. YouTube has a Help Center, so get help if you really can't work properly.
