How to
determine if your FB account is hacked
To find out if your account is compromised or not, you need
to dig deep into the traces the hacker has left. For this:
• First log into your FB account
• Click the down arrow from the upper right corner
• In the menu, select Settings and go to Security and log in
• At the top of the page, you will see the devices you
recently used to sign in
• If you see an unknown device, it is the sign of a
compromised account.
Change your password (if you can login)
If the hacker hasn't changed your password yet, you're lucky
because rescuing your account is much easier in this case. Just change your
Facebook password, make a few changes to the security settings, and you're good
to go. So, to change the password on a hacked FB account, follow the steps
given below:
1. Log in to your Facebook account
2. From the Configuration menu, access the "Security
and login" option.
3. Now in "login" click Change password
4. Type the current password and then enter a new strong
password
5. Click Save Changes
6. Now, to make sure you log out of all the other devices
you are logged in to and for this "Where are you logged in" access
7. Or click Sign out of all sessions.
