How To Find WIFI Password

Do you see your devices connected to your Wifi network, but you currently have trouble remembering your Wifi password, which you have previously used and connected all your devices with your Wifi network?

The reason you may have forgotten your Wifi password is that you would have clicked the box, which says to remember the password. This helps you avoid the pain of entering your password every time you log into your device. It would have been days and you may not remember what password you have saved for your Wifi network. Another reason why many people do not know their Wifi password is because their network administrator would have entered it directly without revealing the password to them.

The need for a Wifi password arises when you want to connect your new device using your existing network or when some guests show up and express their desire to use your Wifi network.

In the above two scenarios, if you do not remember your password, you may be irritated that you may not be able to remember the password for your Wifi network.

To know your Wifi password, follow these steps

Examine your router's default password

All modern Wifi routers or the combo router / modem provided by the numerous Internet providers usually have a default Wifi network name and password. Passwords are not only unique, they are often random and have a combination of numbers and characters. In case your router still uses the default username and password then it's easy to find. You simply need to examine your Wifi router and you will find a label on it, consisting of “SSID, the name of the wireless network, and the password. If you have not changed your default password, you can use this password and connect to your Wifi network.

After connecting to your Wifi network using the default password, remember to change your password and store it in your password manager and make your Wifi network safe.

Find Wifi password for Mac OS X

To store Wi-Fi network configuration details, your Mac uses Keychain. We can use the BSD command "security" to find anything stored on the keychain, including the Wi-Fi password.

Open Spotlight (cmd then space) and then type terminal to open the terminal window. On the command line, enter the following command.

Security find-generic password-wa (your Wifi name)

Your Wi-Fi name then enter your MAC username as well as the password to access the OS keychain and you will find, Your Wi-Fi network password is displayed on the screen in plain text.

Find Wifi password on Android

Android device must have the free ES File Explorer app installed. To recover your Wifi password, follow these simple steps.

Step One: Open ES File Explorer. In the menu, go to local and then tap on the selected device. You will find ES File Explorer, asking for superuser permission, click and grant permission.

Second step: open the folder called data and then check the miscellaneous folder

Third step - Now open the "Wifi" folder and you will see a file called wpa_supplicant.conf

Fourth step: then open it as text and check your Wifi name (SSID) and it will find your lost Wifi password.

So by following these simple steps, you can easily get your Wifi network password and connect to your new devices and force your guest to use your Wifi network by providing them the Wifi password.
